Welcome Eternity

When God created man in the beginning, He envisioned an eternity of an intimate relationship with us where we would walk together in harmony and we would ceaselessly honor Him with our praises and worship. This was our Eden; living in God’s presence.

Man was deceived by the wicked serpent that came to the world seeking to kill, steal and destroy mankind therefore leading to our downfall. Sin entered our hearts and we fell short of the glory of the Lord Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. We broke our intimacy with God and ultimately we were driven out of the Almighty’s presence. All we, like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all Isaiah 53:6

But our God is a God of love and the broken intimacy grieved Him so much that He decided to pay the ultimate price to bring us back to reconciliation. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He sacrificed His one and only beloved Son, Jesus Christ who shed His blood, died on the cross, took all our pain, shame, sin, iniquities as His own so He could give us His righteousness.

Christ gave His all so we could receive the gift of eternity with God, so we could return back to our Eden; God’s presence. All we have to do is receive Him and confess Him as our Lord and Savior. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me.

Whosoever believes in Him receives Him. Anyone can receive Jesus. All He desires is an intimate relationship with you and all you have to do is open your heart, acknowledge that you fall short, confess He is Lord and receive. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Once you receive Him, you are joyfully ushered into God’s family as His child, a rightful heir to the Kingdom. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name

Salvation is a beautiful heart moving story of a father who loved his children to death. He gave up His best, His throne, and His glory just to have His beloved children back in His arms without them having to pay the price for their sins. He offered to pay the price for them. This was the ultimate sacrifice of love so freely given to us. And all we have to do is accept and believe and we can begin our journey with Christ leading us to where we rightfully belong, eternity!

I don’t know what you are going through now, I don’t know which battles you are fighting or the burdens that weigh you down. But one thing am certain of is that you don’t need to walk in chains and shackles, you don’t have to. Christ took it all so that you didn’t have to, so that you could walk in freedom, in happiness, so that He could shower you with His unconditional love and never ending peace. So won’t you give Him a try now?

Prayer;

Heavenly Father, I know that you love me, you sent your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me and that He rose again to save me from my sins. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of your glory.  Please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and be my Savior, Lord and Friend. Change my life and make it new and help me Lord to live for you. In Jesus name I pray and believe, amen!

If you have said that prayer, welcome to eternity, welcome home. Eternity doesn’t begin when we go to heaven; it starts when we invite Christ into our lives and we begin living and living in abundance. Plug in to a church, read the word, talk to God and watch Him lead you to your destiny in Jesus name.
